GWC Valve is looking to change the perception of plumbers everywhere. They started to invest in private vocational schools that offer plumbing and GWC Valve is donating many valves and tools to help with the added cost of becoming a plumber. They help by providing materials but requesting the schools to decrease the price of admission and tuition for plumbing programs in order to promote the trade. GWC Valve Inc. has donated over five million dollars throughout the United States to get this project on track. Sadly they haven’t reached out to every school, mainly due to the schools lack of interest in lowering the admission and tuition.
GWC Valve Inc. has decided to help the students directly by creating program they offer to any student who decides to take plumbing as a trade. They will pay 100% of the admission and tuition for the students and then offer a loan with 0% interest to payback only 50% or less depending on their grades and where they decide to do their internship. For example, if the program costs $10,000.00, GWC Valve will pay all of it and expect you to payback $5000.00 after you find a job in your field with no interest accumulating.
GWC Valve Inc. has realized there is a problem with plumbing profession. It was ruled by the baby boomers for a while but now they’re all retiring. Seems like a great opportunity; however, many people are not interested in this kind of work. It probably has to do with the price of admission and social status of the job. GWC Valve Inc. has made it a mission to being to express and illustrate the utmost importance of trade jobs such as this. Many schools that provide this program and are not really doing anything proactive in motivating young individuals on pursuing a career. The few who do understands the importance and opportunity.
With many small plumbing firms closing, there are more opportunities and work since there won’t be a competitive market at this rate. The few people who do decide, they plan on building an empire because they won’t have many experienced plumbing companies to steal their clients with their experience and prices (since most of their equipment is most likely paid off). GWC Valve realizes this problem and poses a threat to their business as well and they are taking this opportunity as an investment in order to keep demand for their products alive.
